Why edition size matters
An open edition is a poster. An edition of 250 is a souvenir. An edition of one to five is a market. The Andreash register is closed the moment the last print is signed — there is no reissue, no artist proofs held back for later release, no second run under a different name. That constraint is what allows an emerging artist's editions to appreciate the way Richter's and Wool's did in their first decade.
